- In February 2013, our daughter Rebakkah started at the martial arts school. At the time, she had been bullied on a daily basis, so her confidence level was not very high. As parents, we tried to boost her confidence but could not do it alone. We told her she was beautiful everyday and how proud we were of her however, this did not help the lack of self-esteem that she had of herself. She has some learning disabilities that have made reading comprehension difficult. However, after a year at martial arts school, she has developed into a confident individual. She goes to school everyday with a positive attitude and smile on her face. The teachers love her. She has new friends that treat her with respect. She received an award from her teacher about her positive attitude and willingness to learn. She received straight A’s on her report card and made the honor roll.

She joined the Leadership program at the martial arts school in October 2013 because of her eagerness to learn and better herself. When she started at the martial arts school, she could not do sit-ups without struggling. Now she does them without hesitation or struggle. She loves the martial arts classes, and I don’t know what we would have done without this program. Mr. Hollingsworth and his staff as well as the other students give her encouragement and helpful suggestions. She has received 3 belts and is working towards her 1st Degree Black Belt. We would not hesitate to recommend this program to anyone. When she tests for a belt, even though she is nervous, she shows confidence and we can’t be more proud of her.

We would like to thank the staff, the parents and the students for encouraging her.
